Important Planets of Darksea

Novariss

The capital of the Jarusaad, Novariss was once a lush world engineered by the Amathae to serve as a paradise and respite for their most favored subjects. Near the end of the First Mordath War, the Bae’Shal scoured the planet, turning it into a desolate wasteland. It stood barren and mostly abandoned for many centuries before Zekar, the Arbiter who would reforge the Jarusaad Cabal, reclaimed it. The planet is now center of the Cabal’s power once again. While still desolate, it hides many Amathaean secrets and technologies that the Jarusaad use to their advantage. Most importantly, the planet is protected by one surviving Amathaean defense satellite, a weapon of Ascension power so great even whole fleets fear to attack the planet directly.

Alastra

The capital of the Alastran Empire and the ancestral home of the many of Darksea’s most advanced species, Alastra is the cradle of civilization and bustling heart of a great interstellar empire. The world has a long history, but in its current state is a polished gem, immaculately clean despite a population of over 12 billion. A massive orbital ring on its equator provides space elevator connection between the surface and the city of floating orbital structures that now fill its skies. All pollution and industrial activity is safely exported off-world, ensuring Alastra remains pristine for its wealthy and protected populace. While the Alastran Empire as a whole is not post-scarcity, the population of Alastra is. All resident’s needs are provided for, and every person lives in comfort. In the glittering capital city, the Imperial Palace, the House of Nobles, and the High Fane of the Temple tower thousands of meters over a sea of glass and steel skyscrapers.

Ridora

The capital of the Ridorans and the planet upon which the Amathae originally resettled the Ridorans, Ridora is a cold, rocky, tundra world that Alastrans would find inhospitable. It is perfect for the industrious and rugged Ridorans who embrace the challenges and reap the benefits of a world blooming with mineral wealth. Excellent builders and engineers, the Ridorans have turned their homeworld into an impressive and imposing symbol of their technical ability with colossal structures of stone, concrete, and metal that rival the greatest of Alastra’s glittering towers. Everywhere the planet is a testament to the Ridorans’ steadfast determination.

Myrvon

A largely forgotten world of icy winds and shining glaciers, Myrvon served as a secret base for the genius and dangerous experiments of Seranna Syl. It was upon this unremarkable ball of ice that the leader of the Syltec Regime unleashed upon the galaxy its greatest horror.
